I have been on the residual income side of business for over 8 years. My current income from one of our business ventures is $30,000+ a month. It is one of the things that let's us travel and do our videos. Most of my marketing/advertising is done on the Internet and it's has it's ups and downs just like everything else.
I don't blow smoke and HATE hype. I have always found that if you tell it like it is then you end up working with people you like.
I am a pretty average guy. Joined the Marines out of High School and spent 6 years traveling the world and getting in fights. ;)
In the last couple years that I was in the marines I was a bouncer at a college/military bar in Southern California Became Manager of the Bar when I got out for another few years and then went on to a bunch of things from working at Walt Disney World in Florida to Director of Information Technology at a University outside of Chicago.
I retired from the 9 to 5 world after being in the "Business" for a couple years and my Wife Jen was also able to retire a couple years after that.
I have 2 kids (4 and 5 years old) and when they are not in school we travel the country in our RV and visit the coolest place we can find (http://www.roadwarriorslive.com). You can ride shotgun and hear us fighting along the way. :)
I have been the #1 New Volume Producer with my current company every single month for the past 5+ years.
I have been able to setup my immediate family and friends in some of the more profitable things so they have checks coming in.
eg. My Mom is bring in close to $10,000 a month so she could quit her job and stay home. I was able to do the same thing with one of my brothers. My other brother will not listen to me and he still has a 9 to 5 job he hates (that's his problem not mine).
The people that I usually mastermind with are in various niches and businesses both off and online. One of my mastermind groups has been together for 8 years. Together we have be able to partner and pull our resources together to make some great income on various projects. Not everything we have done has been a Home Run but we end up going with winners the majority of the time.
I have gotten addicted to helping people find that thing inside themselves that really drives their business forward. I don't pretend that I know everything but I found that when you get together with a few people magic can happen and the power of the group far outweighs each persons ability.
I have made some great relationships with people here on Wowzza, Facebook and Myspace. If you are going to pitch me on something please do it with some tact. For me it's about creating relationships and not spam. It's not like I am going to report someone for spamming I just have been conditioned to shut down to it and the delete key is coming fast.
I am open to hearing or helping with just about anything so introduce yourself and give it a shot.
You may be interested in what I am up to, and you might not. Either way I don't want it to get in the way of meeting some new people and making a few friends.
